The State Conservatory of Music Giovanni Battista Pergolesi of Fermo, Istituto di Alta Cultura Artistica e Musicale, in partnership with the Italian Cultural Institute of Stuttgart and the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart, on the occasion of the XXI Week of the Italian Language in the World, under the high patronage of the President of the Italian Republic, announce the international composition competition:
UNIQUE FORMS OF CONTINUITY IN SPACE
FORME UNICHE DELLA CONTINUITÀ NELLO SPAZIO
— EDITION 2021
This event is an opportunity for composers to express the originality of their musical ideas and aims at contributing to the creation of a large and eclectic body of art works, with rich implications in the relationship between music and poetry.

TWO AWARD CATEGORIES:
Category A - DANTE ALIGHIERI AWARD
Will be delivered to a new work for Chamber Music.
Up to 6 finalists will be selected, and their works rehearsed and performed in Stuttgart on October 11-12th 2021.
The winner will receive a €1.000 gross prize. The award is funded by the Conservatory of Fermo to commemorate the 700th anniversary of Dante Alighieri's death.
Category B - BRUNO MADERNA AWARD
Will be delivered to a new work for Electronics.
Up to 6 finalists will be selected, and their works performed in Fermo during the month of October 2021.
The winner will receive a €1.000 gross prize. The award is funded by the Conservatory of Fermo to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Bruno Maderna's birth.
